FAQs
What are COLOSSAL Sconces made of?
Our sconces are handmade with 304 stainless steel with a black or gray powder coat that is designed to last.
Who can install COLOSSAL Sconces?
Any contractor, electrician, or handyman can install the largest sconce without help—using only standard tools.
Are COLOSSAL Sconces waterproof?
The fixtures are designed to allow any water and moisture to drain out of the bottom without damaging the light source inside, which is an integrated tube light.
How do I maintain the acrylic lens?
When cleaning acrylic sheeting, never use ammonia, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, vinegar, or gasoline as a cleaning solution. These kinds of solvents can cause cracks in acrylic sheeting and give the surface a frosted appearance.
Recommend using ammonia-free glass cleaner, commercial plastic cleaner, alcohol wipes, or mild soap and water, using a non-abrasive lint-free or microfiber cloth that won't scratch the surface.
How do I clean the fixture housing?
Avoid harsh chemicals: Unlike spray paint, powder coating is much more resistant to things like rust, corrosion, peeling and fading. However, that resistance does not mean it’s completely fine to use chemical cleaners and solvents to clean powder coated items. Harsh cleaners and solvents like acetone can actually damage powder coating.
Wipe off dust with a soft cloth. If more cleaning is necessary, use a highly diluted, mild soap in water and a soft towel or soft sponge to very gently clean. Rinse with a little water, then dry with another soft towel.
